Wellspring is an oasis for downtown Fort Wayne. We have served some of the most vulnerable in the inner city for over 50 years and that commitment to providing quality and no-cost programming has never waned. Wellspring is an important part of the cultural fabric in the West Central corridor and I am thrilled to be a part of the Wellspring family.
Assistant Executive Director
I have always had a passion for serving others and am excited to be able to do just that with an organization that has been serving their community for 50 years. I love Wellspring’s mission to be truly inclusive of everyone in our community and to offer much needed services.
Youth Department Director
I didn’t know I wanted to work with children until after I volunteered for the Wellspring After School Program. For the past 16 years, I’ve been working with the children at Wellspring – I love coming to work each day and being with kids. I love to see the excitement they get from the activities – I like that every day brings something new.
Youth Department Assistant Director
At Wellspring we strive to help make our youth a valuable component of society. Each day brings new smiles and laughter. It’s amazing to see the children’s growth throughout the years – from education and homework time to social skills and interaction with peers.
Older Adult Program Director
To me, Wellspring means a haven and safe place for many, many people. It means a place for people to laugh, enjoy life, have their needs met, and find a group of volunteers and staff in whom they can put their trust. For over 30 years, working with the older adults has shown me that aging brings many grief and loss situations and yet people work through difficulties and fight the good fight. I find that admirable.
Food Bank Director
Working at Wellspring allows me to not only help people, but make an impact in so many lives. I am fortunate to be a part of such an inspiring group of compassionate people. Our staff and volunteers make coming in to work a pleasure. The food bank is a wonderful program that will continue to grow and serve our community.
For over 24 years I have served Wellspring as the Office Manager/Bookkeeper. It has been a joy to see all of the help we give to the people we serve. I am proud to be part of a team that provides excellent services needed by our neighbors. I am thankful for the opportunity Wellspring provides.
Wellspring Shoppe Coordinator
The opportunity to work for Wellspring to coordinate the work of the Wellspring Shoppe is a dream come true for me. The people that I work with are amazing, and it is a pleasure to help those in need. At Wellspring, everyone is treated with dignity and respect, and at the Shoppe, we are especially dedicated to those standards. I am proud of all that we do.
I enjoy a job where you can serve and help others while making a positive impact in their lives. Wellspring has been doing exactly that for over 50 years!! I am so blessed and excited to be a part of an organization like this. There is a difference being made through Wellspring.
