Youth Department Co-Director

I didn’t know I wanted to work with children until after I volunteered for the Wellspring After School Program. For the past 16 years, I’ve been working with the children at Wellspring – I love coming to work each day and being with kids. I love to see the excitement they get from the activities – I like that every day brings something new.

At Wellspring we strive to help make our youth a valuable component of society. Each day brings new smiles and laughter. It's amazing to see the children's growth throughout the years - from education and homework time to social skills and interaction with peers.

Working at Wellspring – alongside such a dedicated, empathetic, and hardworking set of individuals – is a gift and a pleasure. Managing the Wellspring Shoppe in particular is a fantastic opportunity for me to not only clothe individuals and families in a dignified manner, but to build long-lasting relationships with clients and volunteers from the community that we serve.

Program Floater

Transitioning to Wellspring already seems like a natural next step for me. Connecting with older adults and watching clients leave with new clothes and necessities is more fulfilling than I imagined it would be. To hear a client say "being able to shop makes you feel good" is a wonderful thing.
