Youth After School Program

The Youth After School Program involves 20 to 30 youth in a variety of activities Tuesday through Friday at the Wellspring Center. Those activities include homework help, a Reading Club, presentations on the visual and performing arts, ethnic nights and educational and recreational programs. We also stress intergenerational interaction with participants in our Older Adult Program.

On each Monday and Wednesday during the school year we take our program model “on the road” to Study Elementary School on Mondays and to Bloomingdale Elementary School on Wednesdays. Programming is offered from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m.
and we reach approximately 120 kids at the two schools.

There are no fees for the Youth After School Program.

Youth After School Program Hours

Monday: Study Elementary School, 3:30 – 6:00 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday:  3:30 – 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 3:30 – 5:30 p.m., Wellspring Center;
3:30 – 6:00 p.m., Bloomingdale Elementary School
Friday: 3:30 – 6:30 p.m.
